Could you be one of the Hackney 100?

Are you in Year 11 or 12? Are you passionate about success? Do you want work experience in an exciting Hackney company? Are you interested in technology, fashion, media, financial services, hospitality? Do you want to earn money outside school hours, whilst building up your CV?
We have 100 work experience placements to provide opportunities for young people aged 16 and 17, starting in September 2014. Based in high-profile local Hackney companies, these placements will run alongside your school work, and you will be paid for the work you do. The placements will last for a minimum of six months.

How much will I be expected  to work?

The Hackney 100 placements are for 4 hours a week, outside school hours, either after school or at weekends.

How much will I be paid?

You will be paid the London Living Wage of £8.80 per hour. That's money that you can use to enjoy yourself or save for your future.

What will I be doing?

Whatever your employer asks you to do! You'll be expected to pitch in as part of the team in the workplace, and you'll be given a business mentor from the company to work with, to help you get the most out of the opportunity. You'll be expected to be reliable, punctual and professional.

How will the Hackney 100 be chosen?

All applications will be looked at by the Citizens UK team, who are very experienced at matching people with job opportunities. The successful candidates will be those who do the best job of convincing the team that they have what it takes to make the most of this opportunity.
