Landlords

Deposit Bond Scheme

The Council is currently looking to work in partnership with established, reliable agents and private landlords in and around the borough with properties available to let on an Assured Shorthold Tenancy basis, as part of the Deposit Bond Scheme.

Through this scheme the Council will introduce landlords to prospective tenants and provide them with a deposit guarantee agreement, which can be claimed against at the end of the tenancy. Agreements signed will be between the landlord and tenant, with the Council advising tenants to agree to tenancies at Local Housing Allowance (LHA) rates.
