Housing regeneration
Hackney Council is leading the delivery of thousands of new homes for social renting and shared ownership on a number of estates and sites across the borough.
There are various regeneration projects currently taking place in Hackney which are at different stages, including the Six Estates regeneration programme, Woodberry Down and a number of others. The majority of the sites the Council is regenerating are on housing estates.

Hackney Regeneration Estates Leaseholder and Freeholder Options Pack
In April 2012, Cabinet approved the Hackney Regeneration Estates Leaseholder and Freeholder Options Pack (PDF, 1MB) , which provides a range of options intended to allow leaseholders and freeholders to remain on their estates should they wish.
This policy applies to all estates included within the Estate Regeneration Programme 2011-2019; however the proposed additional options will not apply to Woodberry Down in the current phases. The options pack will apply to all leaseholder and freeholders affected by demolition and redevelopment on future estate regeneration projects, unless explicitly excluded.
