About the programme
We are offering the opportunity for ambitious individuals to join our Tenancy and Leasehold Services department as part of our Housing Development Programme on a two-year fixed-term contract.
The development programme is designed to offer housing experience to graduate calibre candidates who don't necessarily have the necessary skills or experience in housing, but show a commitment to be able to work in a housing sector where your main focus is providing an exceptionally high standard of customer service to our residents.
The aim of the programme is to develop your skills, knowledge and experience, allowing you to go forward to pursue a prosperous and rewarding career, either within the public sector, housing or community services.
Structure of the programme
- be placed on a two-year fixed-term contract
- receive on the job training and personal development
- receive regular support and performance reviews
- be placed within specific service areas on a 6 month rotating schedule
- receive dedicated housing training
- have access to apply for roles within the Council
What we are looking for
We are looking for candidates with a passion to make a difference to the communities, highly aspirational with a fresh approach to new ways of working and embracing change.
Candidates will desirably be a graduate with a 2:2 or above. Highly organised and excellent communicators with a strong desire to continue learning and developing as they begin their journey towards a rewarding and prosperous career.
Housing Intern £23,895 to £25,875
Your role within this programme will be to carry out specific duties within Tenancy and Leasehold Services. As part of your development you will learn about the business by rotating to different service areas and learn aspects of a role(s) that play an important part to deliver excellent customer services to our residents.
