Haggerston Park
Haggerston Park is situated in the south west corner of Hackney. The park was developed in two phases - the previously industrial northern half of the site became a public park in the late 1950s and the southern half of the park was fully developed for public use in the 1980s.
Haggerston Park was awarded a Green Flag award in 2009. The Green Flag Award Scheme recognises and rewards the best green spaces in the country. Hackney currently has nine Green Flags - one of the highest totals in London.
