Eight libraries, over a quarter of a million books, 57,000 DVDs and CDs, and most importantly over 100 staff waiting to help you! Here is some of what is available -

Our specialist staff at the Information Services have a vast range of information at their fingertips including various dictionaries, maps and atlases, information leaflets plus lots more.
Hackney Archives
Hackney Archives can help you with anything from tracing the history of Hackney houses to exploring the past online.
Community Library Service
Our Community Library Service can visit you if you are housebound or in hospital, and our Network Supervisors can give you an introduction to using a computer
Children and Young People's Service

Membership of Hackney Libraries is free. What’s more, you can get a special introductory membership without having to bring all your personal documents with you. Just go along to your local library to find out more.
