Mayor and Cabinet

	Mayor Jules Pipe Responsible for the overall corporate strategy, financial management, and delivery of services by the Council. He appoints a Cabinet to support him in making decisions on how Council services are delivered. Current Cabinet member portfolios are outlined below.
	Deputy Mayor Councillor Karen Alcock: Lead responsibility for strategic housing, housing needs, private sector housing, policy, communications and strategic property. Deputises for the Mayor as required.
	Crime, Sustainability, and Customer Services Councillor Sophie Linden: Lead responsibility for community safety and police relationship, neighbourhood teams, customer services, neighbourhoods and civic engagement, environmental sustainability, noise nuisance licensing enforcement, human resources and organisational development, equalities ICT and legal and democratic services.
	Neighbourhoods Councillor Feryal Demirci Lead responsibility for waste and street cleaning, recycling, environmental health and consumer protection, public realm and street scene, parking control, markets, transportation delivery, environmental enforcement and building control.
	Children's Services Councillor Rita Krishna: Lead responsibility for schools and BSF, learning trust, child protection, looked after children, early years, youth "offer", youth services, youth offending team.
	Regeneration Councillor Guy Nicholson: Lead responsibility for promoting investment into the Borough and bringing about the sustainable Regeneration of Hackney's neighbourhoods and town centres. Responsible for the socio economic and cultural development of the borough, increasing employment opportunities for residents, strategic transport regeneration and the forming of Planning and Land Use policies for the borough.
	Health, Social Care, and Culture Councillor Jonathan McShane: Lead responsibility for sport and leisure, adult social services, supporting people, culture, parks, libraries, adult learning, voluntary sector, volunteering and health.
	Finance Councillor Samantha Lloyd: Lead responsibility for finance, budget preparation, revenues and benefits, audit, procurement and pensions.
