The Speaker's Charities
Each year the Speaker selects charitable causes to help Hackney communities, supporting them by fundraising and by attending events.
This year the Speaker has chosen the following as his nominated charities:
Laburnum Boat Club
The Laburnum Boat Club is a community-based boating project by the Regent’s Canal in Haggerston providing accessible physical recreation for children and families. Follow the link below for more information.

The Hackney Society
The Hackney Society was formed in 1967 to help preserve and promote Hackney’s unique built heritage. It involves local people in the conservation and regeneration of Hackney’s built environment and public spaces. Further details can be found on the Society’s website.

Kings Centre Family Project
