Light pollution
Poorly designed and installed lighting can cause a nuisance by disturbing residents' sleep, and can adversely interfere with an individual's use and enjoyment of their property .
What to do if you are affected by light pollution
If you are affected by light pollution eminating from a neighbour's property you should:
- initially contact the neighbour and seek an amicable solution
- ask them to realign the light
- ask them to fit or adjust an infrared sensor
- see if they can fit a lower wattage bulb.
