Local account - how well we deliver adult social care services consultation
We are inviting local residents, service users, carers and other stakeholders to give us feedback on our first ever local account of adult social care services in Hackney.
A local account is a document which tells people how well we have done in delivering adult social care services against our priorities.
- Download the local account report (PDF, 1.4MB)
- Complete the local account survey
The local account replaces annual assessments of council social care services by the Care Quality Commission. The idea is that local people, service users and providers can use the information in the local account to judge our performance.
This local account covers our performance during April 2010-March 2011 and April 2011-September 2011. It explains what we have done well and highlights areas for further action and includes performance information we collect and monitor to make sure our services are doing well.
We are consulting people on this local account now because we want to make sure that our future local accounts are meaningful and relevant to local people.
Please tell us what you think about:
- The content
- The look
- The evidence we use to show how well we have performed
- How easy it is to read and understand
We also welcome suggestions on ways we can measure how well we:
- Support people to stay healthy and well
- Maintain people's independence
- Safeguarded people in vulnerable situations
- Ensure people can choose and control their own care
This online consultation is only the start. During 2012 we will consult directly with interested groups including carers, older people, and service users.
Let us know what you think about our plan by completing the local account survey.
The consultation closes on 13 March 2012.
