Manor House AAP next stage
Stage 8: Submission to Secretary of State (Regulation 30) and Examination in Public
The AAP, together with the supporting documents and the representations received during Regulation 27 Publication were submitted to the Secretary of State on the 30th April 2012 and this material will subsequently be subject to an independent examination in public by an appointed inspector who assesses its soundness and makes recommendations to improve the AAP. Once it has passed through this process, the AAP can then be formally adopted.
Andrea Copsey is the independent Programme Co-ordinator for the Examination and is undertaking all procedural, administrative and programming matters under the direction of the Inspector. Andrea will contact all those who made representations on the Manor House AAP with details as they become available.
Andrea's contact details are:

Email: andrea.copsey@hackney.gov.uk
The purpose of the examination in public is to test whether the AAP meets legal requirements and is 'sound'. To be considered sound, the Plan should be justified (based on robust and credible evidence), effective (capable of being delivered) and consistent with national policy. The Inspector may also make recommendations to improve the AAP. Once it has passed through this process, the AAP can then be formally adopted by the Council.
If you or your organisation made a representation during Regulation 27, you will be kept informed as the AAP proceeds to public hearing. If you requested to appear at the hearing sessions of the Examination in Public, you will be contacted independently by the Programme Co-ordiantor which will advise you of the next steps - or something to this effect please.
