Morry Levy Memorial Ground

Levy Memorial Ground is a small square off Church Street in Stoke Newington. The space is named after a former Hackney Councillor, Morry Levy. It is mostly paved, with a few benches and new raised beds for food growing.

Food growing

Transition Town Stoke Newington have recently created five raised beds in the Memorial Ground, and have started growing a variety of fruit and vegetables. The group have also installed a compost bin and water butt to reuse as much waste on site as possible. More information on the group can be found at http://www.ttstokenewington.org.uk/. If you would like to join in, email Freya.Smith@ioz.ac.uk
