Northwold and Cazenove Conservation Area and Appraisal
The area around Northwold Road and Cazenove Road has been identified by the Council, English Heritage and a number local amenity groups as an area of special architectural and historic interest which clearly merits conservation area status.
This unique residential area displays a fine example of a planned mid - late Victorian suburb. The distinct character of the area has developed from the consistently good and finely detailed houses that line its street, together with the open spaces and ‘leafy’ quality that contribute to the area’s special interest. Another significant asset is the green and pleasant front gardens that have largely survived in many streets of the estate.
