London Olympic and Paralympic Games

Building the 2012 Games

The focus of the London 2012 Games will be the Olympic Park in east London. The Olympic Delivery Authority is delivering the new venues and infrastructure needed for the Games within the Park site; about thirty percent of the Park site is in Hackney.

In the lead up to the Beijing Games in August 2008, there will be a lot of activity to get the site ready for the construction work starting in the summer of 2008.
