Parking and enforcement plan (PEP) 2015-20

The PEP presents an overview of the policy and procedural basis which will guide the Council's parking-related decisions and presents a series of recommendations. 

Estate parking policy

The estate parking policy [pdf, 178.89Kb] has been reviewed and takes effect on 31 March 2016. The policy sets out how we manage parking services on Hackney estates.

Parking statistics 

Parking statistics [pdf, 163.83Kb] covers all penalty charge notices (PCNs) issued by Hackney for parking and traffic contraventions, including those in off-street car parks and Hackney Housing estates. 

Parking enforcement key performance indicators (KPIs)

The parking enforcement contract encourages continual improvement through monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs). These KPIs were effectively set in 2012 when the contract was awarded and are valid for length of the contract (five years) and a further five years if renewed.

Parking services annual report 2013/14

The purpose of this report is to provide financial and statistical data relating to Hackney's Parking Service in 2013/14, together with information on performance and new developments over the course of the year.

In 2013/14 Hackney further improved its performance at the adjudicator, London Tribunals, Environmental and Traffic Adjudicators (ETA). The Council won 73.8% of its cases, making it the highest ranking borough in London. The existence of an independent adjudicator helps to make the appeal process fair and transparent, and the results suggest Hackney are providing the lead in the handling of representations and appeals.
