Parks and green spaces
Hackney has the largest expanse of green spaces in inner London. It has a total of 62 parks, gardens and open spaces totalling about 330 hectares, ranging from the largest concentration of football pitches in Europe at Hackney Marshes to the beautiful and historic settings of Springfield and Clissold parks.

Hackney in Bloom
The 2011 Hackney in Bloom winners have been anounced. For more information see Hackney in Bloom.
Love London Fields
As part of the Love London Fields campaign the Council undertook a consultation on BBQ use in the park while trialling a designated BBQ area. This allowed people to BBQ during the summer if they used a stand. We are analysing the data from the pilot and the consultation and will publish the results in the coming months.
