Approved Supplier Lists
It is not the current policy of the Procurement team to hold approved supplier lists for tendering purposes.
For particular categories of works, goods or services, business groups within the Council may prepare their own standing lists. In these instances such lists would be maintained by the individual directorates, contact details of the Directorate Procurement Managers are available on the Contact Us page.
The Council may also, on occasions draw up a select list following a public advertisement. Further details can be found on the Selling to Hackney Council page. The Council's advertisement will state what is required from potential suppliers and invite companies to apply for consideration. If your company would like to be considered for a particular contract you must follow the application instructions detailed in the advertisement
The Council has approved the government-sponsored Constructionline database as the source for selecting contractors and consultants to tender for Council construction projects. Therefore, the Council no longer maintains its own approved list of construction contractors. Details of the Constructionline database can be found on the Constructionline website.
The Councils Procurement Team advocates the use of strategic collaboration partnering organisations such as the Office of Government Commerce (OGC) approved supplier lists and the London Contracts and Supplies Group.
If you require any further information regarding approved supplier lists contact the Procurement Support Team: procurement.admin@hackney.gov.uk.
