Safer Communities

Hackney Council is committed to making the borough a safer place in which to live and work.

“The vision is for a borough with a mixed, confident and relatively stable community. People will feel safe in their homes and be able to walk the streets, day or night, without fear of intimidation or harassment. Low rates of crime and a high quality safe environment will ensure that Hackney is a good place to live for people regardless of their age, the age of their children or their ethnicity. Communities will feel that they are listened to and that their views count.”
