Hackney Funding Programme 2009/10

Voluntary and community organisations are invited to apply for the for this year’s voluntary sector grants, worth a total of £2.4 million, which are being administered by Hackney Council’s Community Partnerships team.
Councillor Nargis Khan, Cabinet Member for Community Services and the lead member for the Hackney Funding Programme, said: “This programme will continue to be delivered in partnership with other funding organisations to support community activity in the borough. The new criteria reflects Hackney’s new ten year Community Strategy and its ambition to support community development in Hackney.”
The Hackney Funding Programme will support activities and services under these six headings:
- Cohesive communities
- Promoting health and well-being
- Citizenship and pride in Hackney and its environment
- Advice services
- Children and young people
- Holiday playschemes.

HCVS will be running three workshops on Thursday 14 August am(fully booked) and 2 - 4pm at Room 19, HCVS and Wednesday, 20 September. To book a place, contact HCVS.
The closing date for applications is Monday, 29 September 2008. Funding starts on 1 April, 2009 and runs for one year.
