Safer Food Better Business Training

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has developed a programme, called Safer Food Better Business to help small catering businesses, such as restaurants, cafés and takeaways comply with the law. They have introduced the scheme by giving a grant to a London Partnership to train food business operators in London. Hackney has been the most sucessful Borough in achieving training and has been given three more course for February 2007.
This is your last chance to book, we only have funding for a few more places. After this date there will be no more free training and assistance until April 2008 at the earliest.
It includes:
- specialist training - free to Hackney food businesses
- a food safety information pack
- guidance on how to keep records
Hackney Council is one of 22 London authorities that have joined together to deliver the training, consisting of
- three-hour workshop to learn about Safer Food Better Business
- half day session where a trainer will visit your business to help you implement Safer Food Better Business
Hackney Environmental Health will be writing to catering businesses and restaurants to invite them to take part in the programme.
