Match Day Scheme
The next operational review will take place in 2009/2010.
The Match Day Parking Scheme went live on Saturday 16 August 2008 and covers the whole of Zones G, G2 and part of Zone M (roads west of Milton Grove).
These areas had been suffering from specific parking pressures on match days as visitors parked in the area and walked to the new Emirates Stadium. Although further away from Hackney, the new venue has a much bigger capacity of 60,000.
How does the Match Day Scheme work?
The Match Day Scheme operates as an extension to the normal CPZs and is intended to prevent stadium visitors from parking in designated resident permit and business permit bays during Arsenal home fixtures.
It is only active when Arsenal FC hosts a home match at the Emirates Stadium.
Normal CPZ hours apply on all other days. Residents and businesses within the affected CPZs will need to display a permit for the entire duration of the Match Day Scheme hours, as well as during the CPZ times. Residential visitors are able to park in resident permit, general permit, and shared use bays with a visitor voucher as normal. Other visitors can make use of the Pay & Display facilities throughout the Match Day Scheme area.
Operational hours
During Arsenal FC home fixtures, the Match Day Scheme operates as follows:

Signs located on every street entering the Match Day Scheme area display the dates when the next Arsenal FC home match is scheduled to take place and when the scheme will next operate.
As fixture dates are subject to change, we recommend you visit the Arsenal FC website at www.arsenal.com for the most up-to-date list.
Arsenal FC also has an emailing list that sends out the latest information about new and changed fixture dates. To register, simply send a blank email to join-fixtures@list.arsenal.co.uk and you will be added to the email distribution list.
Future Reviews
We will continue to monitor parking stress during home match days and during special events.
After the Scheme’s first year of operation, and on a regular basis thereafter, we will carry out a public review to ensure that it continues to meet the needs of the local residents and businesses in the way that it was intended to. We will look at whether the operational hours remain effective and also whether the boundary remains suitable.
