Animal Welfare
We offer a range of services to cover animal welfare under various legislation:
- Control of stray dogs under the Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act 2005
- Control of noise from barking dogs and other animals under the Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act 2005. This is enforced by the Hackney Pollution Group
- Dangerous Dogs Act 1991
- Dogs (Fouling of Land) Act 1996, including the provision of bins and dog fouling notices
- Animal Boarding Establishment Act 1963
- Pet Animals Act 1951
Cruelty to animals
If you suspect that an animal of any kind is being subjected to any form of cruelty then the only organisation that can legally deal with this is the Royal Society for the Protection of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA), you can contact the National Cruelty Helpline 0870 5555 999.
