Hackney: the place - Introduction
Hackney is one of the most vibrant and diverse places in the world. More than 100 languages are spoken here. It’s a stone’s throw to the City and a bus ride to the West End. It is an inner London borough where one third of the area is parks or open space, where transport links are improving and more people are to choosing live. Hackney is a host for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
