Hackney: the place - Parks and Open Spaces
Hackney has more green space than any other inner-London borough. Its parks and open spaces cover an area of 329 hectares in total with eight major parks covering 268 hectares.
They include the Green Flag winners Clissold Park and Sprigfield Park to the north, Hackney Downs in the centre and Haggerston Park to the south. Other popular Hackney parks include London Fields, Millfields Park and the world famous Hackney Marshes.
Across the border to the east is Walthamstow Marshes and to the south-east is Victoria Park, both very popular with Hackney residents.
