Incontinence Laundry Service
The Incontinence Laundry Service helps people to cope with the problems this causes when living in their own home.
What does this service offer?
This is a laundry service for adults and includes sheets, draw sheets and pillowcases. These are collected from your home once or twice a week and laundered, and clean laundry is left with you.
District nurses can give skilled professional advice on continence promotion and incontinence care.
For children, this service offers advice, support and education to those caring for children with bowel and bladder incontinence. This might include children with disabilities.
How do we decide if you qualify for this service?
Usually a district nurse or other professional working with you decides if the service can help you. If the service cannot be offered to you, your district nurse will discuss other services that may be able to help. A continence advisor is also available.
If your needs change, your district nurse will discuss other services with you to see if we can help you.
For further information contact your local district nurse, or health visitor who is based at your local surgery or your family doctor.
