White Ribbon Day Event
Saturday 22 November. 11am – 3.30pm. White Ribbon Day is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. This is an important occasion to focus on issues that affect women throughout the world. Including children’s face-painting, free prize raffle, art workshop for women, free beauty treatments, refreshments, plus entertainment by Angie Le Mar and Lealea Jones. Carol Singing in Clissold Park
Saturday 13 December, 11am-12noon. Some performance pieces by choirs from local primary schools, but most of the carols will be for everyone to sing; carol sheets will be provided. In Clissold Park by the hard standing area where the bandstand used to be, just to the north/north-west of Clissold House (the cafe), by the children's play area.
Victoria Park TA Midwinter Fair
Saturday 13 December, 12noon-4pm. The fair is a lively outdoor community event, with live music, stalls, children’s entertainment, and activities both in and around the park, including carol singing, craft stalls, chestnut sellers, mulled wine, mince pies, food stalls, and a visit from Father Christmas.
