Private Fostering Campaign
19-25 January
Do you know someone who is caring for somebody else’s child?
If it’s for more than 28 days, they must notify their local council and failure to do so is a criminal offence.
The British Association for Adoption and Fostering (BAAF) are running a campaign called ‘Someone Else’s Child’ which will highlight the potential vulnerability of children living in private fostering arrangements and the need to notify the local authority of such arrangements.
If you or someone you know is in a private fostering arrangement please notify Hackney Children Service’s on 020 8356 5500.
