Recycling facilities for all schools

All schools in Hackney are entitled to free recycling collections. Schools can either have decorated cow print recycling bins, or standard black recycling bins. Phone the recycling hotline to organise your schools recycling facilities. The recycling crew will collect the following materials from schools:

  • Mixed paper recycling
  • Tins, cans and plastic bottles
  • Glass (if required)
  • Cardboard (large sacks provided)
  • Garden waste – subject to being on a road which is on the Brown Bin scheme
