Have your say

The Council carries out several consultations each year related to improvements in the public highway or to improve road safety in Hackney's streets and pavements. These cover different issues, from putting in a zebra crossing or removing street clutter to introducing 20mph zones to improve road safety, which will make a positive contribution to encourage more walking and cycling.

If the Council is proposing a road safety or traffic related scheme in your area we will send you a questionnaire with an information brochure showing the proposed changes. Residents' comments will be given due consideration before a decision is taken by the Council on the scheme progression. The proposals will be amended as much as possible to address each of the issue raised during the period of the consultation as long as the main objectives of the scheme are maintained. We will notify all the residents and business within the consultation area of the results and commencement date for the works.

Search our online database of consultations to look for and respond to consultations related to street works in the area you live in.
