Rising Tide
Rising Tide are an organisation working with young people, helping them find their voice. They have delivered music skills, event management training and industry development initiatives since 1999. They offer opportunities for local people and communities to work with industry professionals, giving them the skills to develop a career within music and related industries.
Rising Tide are based out of the Ocean centre on Mare Street and their doors are always open to any young person who wants to come in and learn more about music or music-related career development.
Rising Tide were involved in the stage show in Hackney celebrating the announcement of the Games coming to London. Since then, Rising Tide has been a major partner in delivering the Personal Best programme, with over 100 young people receiving training and support in volunteering. Rising Tide has also been involved in the Cultural Olympiad and the Shoreditch Festival.
They work closely with the Youth Offending team and Hackney’s Youth Service, as well as receiving support from Hackney Council by using the Ocean as a base.
