Specialist equipment for blind or partially sighted people

There is a variety of equipment available to help with every day tasks. However, equipment will only be offered after an assessment of need has been made by a rehabilitation worker.

How much will it cost?

Equipment is free of charge.

Should you wish to purchase your own equipment, Community Services or Children and Young People's Services will still be able to offer you advice as to which particular pieces of equipment suit your needs. Professional advice from a rehabilitation worker can help you avoid costly mistakes to your pocket and your health. Here are some useful contacts.
