The City and Hackney Safeguarding Adults Board (CHSAB) has adopted the Protecting adults at risk: London multi-agency policy and procedures to safeguard adults from abuse (PDF, 168KB). and the board has implemented a local protocol in line with the London multi-agency policy and procedures. This a seven stage process for handling safeguarding cases. The stages are -
- Stage 1 - Alert
- Stage 2 - Referral
- Stage 3 - Strategy Meeting/Discussion
- Stage 4 - Investigation
- Stage 5 - Case Conference and Protection Plan
- Stage 6 - Review of Protection Plan
- Stage 7 - Closing the Safeguarding Adults Process
