Syringe and Needle Disposal
Needles, syringes and other drug related items are being increasingly discarded or dumped in the open. There are a number of hazards associated with handling these items and we strongly advise that you contact us (using the details to the right) to safely remove and dispose of any you come across.
Members of the public should not pick up needles, unless they poses an immediate danger to you or other residents. We will remove needles, syringes and other drug related items within 48 hours or less if there is an immediate risk to the public.
Any needles, or syringes found on educational premises (e.g. schools, nurseries, etc.) during working hours should be reported immediately to the premises directly, where staff on site are trained to deal with such items.
