Community Crime Fighters

Training residents on how to tackle crime

"Community Crime Fighters" is a Home Office programme which trains members of the public to tackle crime.

People who take part in the programme are usually residents who are already active in their community, such as tenants and residents group leaders, neighbourhood watch co-ordinators or community campaigners.

Community Crime Fighters are not given any additional responsibilities or authority, but are recognised as being committed, and in many cases brave enough, to tackle crime in their area.

Hackney Council keeps in regular contact with its Community Crime Fighters and involves them with community safety initiatives.
