Protecting privacy
CCTV cameras are carefully positioned to respect the privacy of the public - they will not overlook any areas where privacy is expected.
Signs are displayed stating where CCTV cameras are in operation, and the information gathered is kept secure against uses it is not intended for.

This enables us to share up-to-the-minute information.
The local Police control room can also receive images from the cameras, to enable them to respond to incidents and prioritise resources.
