Direct Gov: Preparing for Emergencies - information on how you can help yourself and your family in emergencies.
UK Resilience - a Government information website which is a central reference point and directory for use during national emergencies.
DEFRA (Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) - overseas the regulation of food industries in the UK, including animal welfare, safety standards and environmental issues.

NHS Direct - National Health Service website providing online and telephone health advice and information.
