Hackney Say Relax

Helping you have a fun and safe night out

Hackney is one of the hottest night spots in London. Last Christmas, to ensure revellers had a fun and safe night out on the town, and residents woke up to a clean and relaxed Hackney, the Council stepped up its support services for the party rush.

Hackney Hosts

As part of our 'Hackney Say Relax' initiative last Christmas, "Hackney Hosts" were out on the busy streets of Hoxton, providing crucial information about how to keep safe whilst enjoying a great night out. They also distributed ‘Shhhh’ lollipops to remind late-night revelers not to disturb residents.

Every weekend night for five weeks, the Hosts asked around one hundred party-goers if they felt safe in Hackney with a massive 75 per cent responding with a “yes”.

Be cabwise - don't take unlicensed taxis or minicabs home

If you need a taxi home and don’t have the number of a licensed cab firm in the area, simply text ‘HOME’ to 60835.

You’ll immediately get one taxi and two local licensed minicab numbers sent to your mobile. Find out more about being cabwise.
