An ideal venue for ceremonies or meetings

An impressive Art Deco staircase leads the way to the Council Chamber, a luxurious space providing the perfect setting for ceremonies or meetings. Features include a beautiful domed ceiling, vaulted galleries, Australian walnut timber panelling and ornate gold cornicing.

The ceremonial suites that sit at either side provide a tranquil space for you to prepare for your special event or can be used as breakout or refreshment space.

The Council Chamber is a stylish location for special occasions such as weddings, naming ceremonies, vow renewals and civil partnerships. It's also ideal for meetings..

Capacity

  • When guests are seated, the Council Chamber can accomodate a maximum of 83 people: 53 seated theatre-style in the chamber, 30 seated on pews on the balcony.
  • With some guest standing, the council chamber can accomodate 100 people: 70 standing in the chamber, 30 seated on pews in the balcony.

Dimensions

The dimensions of the space are as follows: 156sqM (12.5m x 12.5m)
