Speaker's Whittington Walk
The Speaker of Hackney, Councillor Faizullah Khan, has been asked to join the Lord Mayor of the City of London on his annual walk from the Whittington Hospital to Mansion House (seven miles) to raise money for charities.
The walk is taking place on 30 March 2008. The London Mayors’ Walk has taken place for the past thirty-seven years. The event covers the original walk of Dick Whittington of over 600 years ago.
The Speaker would like to take this opportunity to raise money for his nominated Hackney based charities – Age Concern Hackney, City and Hackney Mind and St. Joseph's Hospice. You can help the Speaker raise money for these charities by sponsoring his walk.
