We award grants to athletes, clubs and coaches in Hackney to help them achieve their potential.
There are four opportunities to apply for funding in 2014/15. You can only be awarded one grant between 1 April 2014 and 31 March 2015. The closing dates for 2014/15 are:

London Sport individual coaching bursaries
The aim of the fund is not only to develop our Coaching Workforce at Level 1 and Level 2, but to also help increase the number of people participating in sport across London with a focus on increasing participation in 11-25 year olds. Bursaries cover 75% of the fee for Level 1 or Level 2 courses.
Who can apply?
Coaches registered on Coaching London. All applicants must be a resident of a London Borough and coaching in a London Borough. Applications that include the following boroughs will not be considered unless evidence is provided of unsuccessful funding applications to these boroughs' schemes: Barking and Dagenham, Bexley, Brent, Hackney, Havering, Hillingdon, Islington, Kensington and Chelsea, Newham, Redbridge, Tower Hamlets or Wandsworth.

All sports must be recognised by Sport England. Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis. The funding pot is limited and will be offered on a first come first served basis, so please encourage your coaches or potential coaches to apply early to avoid disappointment.

Talented young athlete
An award for young athletes to help them develop and progress in their sport. Anyone who achieves the gold or silver talented young athlete award also receives a full or half price membership at one of Hackney's leisure centres, courtesy of Better.
Progressive community club
Funding for community clubs to help them provide sporting opportunities for young people.
Coach education fund
Funding for coaches who hold at least a level one national governing body qualification and want to gain a higher level qualification to coach young people in Hackney.
Cash 4 Clubs (UK)
Sports club that are registered with their sport's national governing body or local authority can apply for grants of up to £1,000 through the Cash 4 Clubs grants scheme. Cash 4 Clubs gives clubs a unique chance to apply for grants to improve facilities, purchase new equipment, gain coaching qualifications, and generally invest in the sustainability of their club. Since 2008 over £100,000 has been given out in grants to 139 community sports clubs across the UK. There are three tiers of grants at £250, £500 and £1,000.
