London Sport individual coaching bursaries

The aim of the fund is not only to develop our Coaching Workforce at Level 1 and Level 2, but to also help increase the number of people participating in sport across London with a focus on increasing participation in 11-25 year olds. Bursaries cover 75% of the fee for Level 1 or Level 2 courses.

Who can apply?

Coaches registered on Coaching London. All applicants must be a resident of a London Borough and coaching in a London Borough. Applications that include the following boroughs will not be considered unless evidence is provided of unsuccessful funding applications to these boroughs' schemes: Barking and Dagenham, Bexley, Brent, Hackney, Havering, Hillingdon, Islington, Kensington and Chelsea, Newham, Redbridge, Tower Hamlets or Wandsworth.

Full details of these schemes are available in the sports coach UK Funding Opportunities for Coaching in the UK guide.

All sports must be recognised by Sport England. Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis. The funding pot is limited and will be offered on a first come first served basis, so please encourage your coaches or potential coaches to apply early to avoid disappointment.
