Support Service for Older People
If you are over 55 and living in Hackney there is a free support service available for you in your own home.
Do you need help with any of the following?
- Housing benefit claims and general benefit advice
- Accessing health and care services
- Housing problems, sorting out rent arrears
- Support in being safe and secure at home or help to enable you to continue living in your own home
- Neighbour disputes
- Finding local activities /training/employment
- Getting support for mental health or accessing counselling
- Budgeting and accessing financial advice
- Support to stay healthy including health checks, support with medication, and falls prevention advice
This service is available in your home from 10am to 7pm on weekdays and between 10am to 4pm on weekends and bank holidays. The level of support provided will vary and will depend on your needs.
