Supporting People
The Supporting People programme helps vulnerable people maintain and improve their ability to live independently. Examples of the way we can help include:
- Helping an older person stay in their own home
- Helping someone coming out of homelessness to manage their own home
- Helping someone with mental health problems to live independently
What type of help can we provide?
- Help to develop life skills such as understanding and complying with tenancies, budgeting & cooking
- Support access to services and benefits including health, social care and specialist and leisure
- Support to access education, training and employment
- Monitoring health and wellbeing
Who do we help?

- Homeless people and rough sleepers
- People with mental health problems
- People with Learning Disabilities
- People with drug and or alcohol problems
- Victims of hate crime and domestic violence
- Ex offenders and those at risk of offending
Adults with a range of needs. See Hackney Support

The programme contributes to a thriving, healthy and inclusive community that is confident and safe by ensuring that vulnerable groups have an equal opportunity to lead a fulfilling life, and participate fully in our community and wider society.
