City and Hackney Safeguarding Children Board

Children have the right to be protected from abuse and neglect. The City and Hackney Safeguarding Children Board (CHSCB) exists to promote and develop such protection by agreeing how local services and professional groups should co-operate to safeguard children.

As a multi-agency forum, the CHSCB will -

• define and promote best practice both within and between partner agencies
• maintain our joint efforts and strong commitment towards ensuring that children involved with our services are safe, supported and experience positive outcomes
• ensure that the rich ethnic and religious diversity of our Borough's children is cherished and promoted.
