Obstructions
The pavement outside my home is obstructed.
Some builders have left a mess after working nearby?
We need to take different action depending on the type of obstruction.Please call the Corporate Contact Centre on 020 8356 2897 with as much detail as possible about the obstruction. Details should include the precise location, type of obstruction, when you first noticed the obstruction and the quantity of the obstruction.
If necessary, we will send our officers to the site.
I have noticed a vehicle which has been abandoned, What should I do?
Please take a note of the vehicle registration number, the date on the tax disk if there is one present on the car, and the location of the vehicle. Phone the Corporate Contact Centre on 020 8356 2897 so we can log your call and refer it to the correct department.
I have noticed a shop whose product display is extending across the pavement?

There is some overhanging vegetation on my street.
If you live on a council estate or development, please contact your neighbourhood office or estate manager. If trees, bushes or shrubs are hanging over a public highway, please contact the Corporate Contact Centre on 020 8356 2897.
If the vegetation from your garden or property is hanging over a public highway you will be issued with an enforcement notice. If the vegetation is not removed within 14 days, another 14 day warning is issued. If the vegetation is not removed within this period, the Council will take action to remove it and bill the costs to the property or land owner.

I would like to report a pothole?
I would like to report uneven or dislodged slabs.
There is a problem with a kerbing or pavement deterioration on my road?
We need to take different action depending on the type of problem.Please call the Corporate Contact Centre on 020 8356 2897 with as much detail as possible about the problem, including a clear description of its location.
Some examples you can refer to when calling us to log a problem:
•Colour of slab
•Colour of road
•Colour of material
•Location: What is it close to? What buildings are nearby? Is it near a junction? Are there lamp columns nearby? Is there a shop, business or company nearby?
If necessary, our officers will visit the site to investigate the problem.
Work will be carried out if necessary within 28 days. Work is prioritised according to danger to public.
