How Can I Pay?

Online Payments

You can pay your Business Rates online by clicking on Pay Your Business Rates, under Do it online on the right.

Each ratepayer has the right to pay their Non Domestic Rates (commonly known as Business Rates) by monthly instalments unless that right has been lost see What happens if I do not pay.

Business Rate payments are due on the 1st of each month.

The Council offers a number of ways for you to pay your bill including:

Direct Debit

This is by far the most effective and cost efficient way for us to collect your Business Rate payments and the easiest way for you to make your payments.

The advantages to you of paying by direct debit are :

  • No wasted time queuing at the Bank, or Council offices
  • No postage to pay for each month
  • No need to reapply each year as your Direct Debit, once set up, stays in place and we simply notify of any changes to the amount to be collected from your account
  • It is safe
  • Under the Direct Debit Guarantee we have to give you at least 14 days notice prior to any deductions being taken
  • If we make a mistake, you can get full reimbursement from your branch immediately
  • You can cancel your Direct Debit at any time.

Please contact the Business Rates section on 020 8356 3466 (between the hours 9 am - 5 pm) for further information.
