Frequently Asked Questions

Parking Permits

I want to apply for a parking permit

You have to live in the Borough and your vehicle must be registered at this address. This must be seen as your permanent home address, for which we will correspond and you will need to provide evidence of this. You can download an application form from the Parking Services web page. If you have just moved into the borough, then you may apply for a temporary permit for 3 months until you have changed all your vehicle registration details. Please contact us using the details below.

Once the application has been received, this will be processed and you will be advised of the outcome.

If you require a permit immediately you can visit the Parking Shop as issuing only takes a few minutes. It is important that you bring the correct documents as your application may be refused.

I applied for a permit one month ago and I have had no response yet

Please contact Corporate Contact Centre who will be able to assist you.

My permit has been stolen

You will need to report this to the police, and obtain a crime reference number. Contact the Corporate Contact Centre with this number and we will be able to issue you with another one free of charge, a visit would be required to the office for all original paperwork to be copied.
