Entertainment/Alcohol/Late Night Refreshment
Premises Licences under the Licensing Act 2003 cover the following:
•Sale and supply,
•The provision of regulated entertainment,
•The provision of late night refreshment.
If you require a Premises Licence you must apply for a new Licence.
In addition to a Premises Licence, at least one person is required to hold a Personal Licence.
How long does a Premises Licence last?
A Premises Licence is valid until you apply for any transfer or variation to the existing Licence.
How much does a Premises Licence cost?
The fees are prescribed and are based on the rateable value of the premises. Rateable values can be found at www.voa.gov.uk
Are there additional Premises Licence fees?
Yes, you need to pay an annual fee – this is based on the rateable value of the premises – see details below. Band A: £70
Band B: £180
Band C: £295
Band D: £320
Band E: £350
What happens where representations are received on my application?
Responsible Authorities may try to mediate with you. If an agreement is not reached, your application will be reported to the Licensing Sub-Committee for a decision. Where interested party representations are made, either by local residents or businesses, the application will go to the Committee for consideration.
Can I request a review of an existing Premises Licence?
