Frequently Asked Questions

Stray Animals

I would like to report a stray dog?

Please call our Corporate Contact Centre and have the information below with you at the time of the call.

  • Breed of the dog (if known)
  • Location of the dog found or seen
  • Owner’s name (if known)
  • How long has it been roaming around?

Once we have received this information, the dog will be collected and located in Council kennels for a short period. If the dog has not been reported missing by the owner or we cannot contact the owner, the dog will eventually be sent to Battersea Dogs Home.
