New playground equipment

New funding for Playgrounds

A cash injection of at least a quarter of a million pounds is to be pumped into new playgrounds and play areas, Hackney Council has announced. New equipment and safer surfaces will be funded at play areas across the borough. The cash is just one part of a big Council cash boost for a range of services that residents have requested.

It includes £1,263,000 for new public conveniences at Ridley Road Market, Hoxton Market, Stamford Hill, Wilton Way and the Narrow Way. The Council's estate's renewal programme has also received £611,000 to begin its first phase of work, while a further £500,000 will be invested in refurbishing empty homes for re-letting.
