Carron Adams Headteacher of Grazebrook Primary school wins GG2 Teacher of the Year Award

Once again the excellence of Hackney’s teaching was recognised when Carron Adams, Headteacher of Grazebrook school, won the National GG2 Teacher of the Year Award.

The GG2 Leadership and Diversity Awards recognise high achievers within ethnic communities in both the private and public sectors, who have made and outstanding contribution in their particular field.

The Teaching award was open to all of an ethnic minority background and recognises and rewards teachers who have excelled beyond the call of duty. Carron was praised by the judges for her determination, leadership skills and vision.

The judges said: “The work Carron has done has benefited children, teachers and the wider community. She has demonstrated the kind of leadership qualities that inspire staff and children in any school.”
